Banana Split Breakfast

Are you running out of breakfast ideas? What about a banana split? Yes, you bet! Of course, this is the clean eating version because I would not want to hinder your summer body in the works. Bananas are great for a healthy breakfast as they have protein and are high in potassium, but eating them alone is boring. Preparing this banana split recipe is so easy even kids can do it. There are many easy ways to make this I will share few of my favorites.

Frozen Yogurt Banana Split
Ingredients:
1 Banana
1 – 5oz. Oikos Greek Yogurt (I used vanilla) frozen.
Handful of berries
4 tbsp. of your favorite low sugar granola

Directions:
1. Peel the banana and split it down the center. Place in a bowl or banana split dish.
2. Using the ice cream spoon, spoon the yogurt onto the banana like you would with ice cream.
3. Top with berries and granola.

Nutty Banana Split
Ingredients
1 Banana
1 tablespoon of peanut or almond butter
1 cup of Greek yogurt of your choice
Handful of granola
Chocolate chips
Mixed fruit

Directions:
1. Peel the banana and split it down the center. Place in a bowl or banana split dish.
2. Spread the peanut or almond butter on each half of banana.
3. Place the two halves close together than spoon the Green yogurt into center of banana halves.
4. Sprinkle with granola, mixed fruit and chocolate chip to taste.
* If you have nut allergies you can use Biscoff European cookie spread and your favorite crushed cereal instead of granola.

Super Power Banana Split
Ingredients:
1 banana
1 half of avocado
1 scoop of protein powder
2 tablespoons of Greek Yogurt
ΒΌ cup of crushed ice
Chopped walnut for topping
Chia seeds for sprinkling

Directions:
1. Peel the banana and split it down the center, place in a bowl.
2. In a blender combine avocado, protein power, yogurt and crushed ice. Blend well. This will give you an ice cream texture.
3. Spread your mixture into the center of the banana split.
4. Decorate with walnut and chia seeds.
*This can also be topped with pistachios.

If you are running short on time in the morning, you can always try the overnight oats in mason jars.
